Profile edgings for MEVACO perforated sheeting: street-smart edge protection

The specially developed profiles are available in the widest variety of cross sections: round, rectangular, triangular, U-shape and even trapezoidal shape. The slit widths range from 0.8 mm to 2.7 mm in the case of profile edgings for perforated and textured sheets. They allow for the profiling of perforated and textured sheets as well as other sharp-edged sheet material with a material thickness between 1.0 and 3.0 mm. The profile edgings for woven wire mesh and welded mesh have slit widths of 3.0 to 9.6 mm.
They allow for the profiling of mesh with material thicknesses of 3.0 to 5.0 mm.

Depending on the type of profile, the rods, which in each case are 3000 mm long, are available in the materials steel, sendzimir galvanised, aluminium, stainless steel and polished stainless steel. In addition to aesthetic aspects, the profile edgings serve first and foremost for protection against injuries. The advantage here being: sheets cut through the perforation can be easily and rapidly profiled. Each sheet can thus be used once purchased without additional costs for unperforated margins or similar.

The profile edgings are produced in a roll forming procedure. In this connection, a slit strip runs along rolls which are set differently. A profile head develops, which bit by bit gives the material its shape.

The round profiles are available in the versions LR 10, LR 18, LR 27 or WR 36. The profile cross section is always similar. The slit widths of the profile edgings are variable. The number of the profile designation indicates the profile diameter. This is important for selecting suitable corner connectors and appropriate brackets from the MEVACOmodul range.

The specifications also apply for all rectangular profiles, like LE 10x12, LE 12x18, LE 20x30, WE 30x30, WE 40x40 or GEV 30x30. The figures after the profile designation indicated the width and height of the profile edging.

The profile edging range is completed by the triangular profile LD 30x22 and the trapezoidal profile LT 20x20. MEVACO corner connectors are also extremely useful for profiling metal sheets. The profile end caps are suitable for a neat sealing of open profile edges.
